This event uses the PKBGT Priority Based Entry system for the Bell National & Prep Preview Divisions.
The Top 42 players will be selected for the Bell National division field. Players who are currently inside the Top 50 in the PKBGT Performance Index will automatically be accepted into the Bell National field. All other Class 1 players will be listed under the "Class 1 Waitlist" until the Priority Entry is completed at the date listed below.
The Top 36 players will be selected for the Prep Preview division field. Players will be listed as "Waitlisted" until this time.
All players who register by the priority entry deadline are guaranteed a spot in the field, either in the Bell National or Prep Preview division.
The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour has adopted the following protocols to better serve and protect our players, families, and staff. Along with our association partners during this pandemic, we hope that you understand the significance of these measures in allowing us to operate golf tournaments and will adhere to the following protocols in order to keep our tournaments safe for players, volunteers, host club staffs and families.
We ask that all players and spectators review these amended protocols by clicking here before attending a PKBGT event. Additionally, PKBGT staff and officials will be following enhanced health screening and infrastructure cleaning protocols.
We are excited to announce Digital Scorekeeping & Live Scoring by having players download the "ShotStat Live" scoring app to their phone. All you need to do is download it and authorize it! When using the Live Scoring App during your round, you will be scoring your marker as well as keeping your own score providing a true electronic scorecard.
At the bottom of this email you will find a link to the App Instructions PDF that details how to download the app and authorize it, as well as some screen shots for scoring and some of the other features, but the quick instructions are below.
1) Search and download the “ShotStat Live” app in the App Store of your iPhone or in the Google Play Store of your Android phone.
2) Authorize the app by either entering in your cell phone number or e-mail address to receive a 1-time PIN (we recommend using your cell phone number). NOTE - the only cell phone number or email that will work will be the one on your player account in our system - so that may be the player’s number/email, or it may be the parents (depending on how it was set up). If the number or e-mail is not in our system, the app will notify you.
3) Once you download and authorize the app, tap the “Schedule” tab on the bottom navigation bar to view your upcoming events that are utilizing live scoring. If parings are set, the tournament will be highlighted in green allowing you to tap into the tournament.
If you have questions, please let us know! It is important that all players download this app before Round 1 begins so we can have complete hole-by-hole live scoring!

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Practice rounds will be available in advance of the tournament for $75 for participants by calling the Pro Shop at 910-295-9000. Parents or guests may accompany the player for a rate of $155. Please identify yourself as a PKBGT Tournament of Champions participant. Prior to Friday, December 4th, golf shop will make available times as best as possible to PKBGT players. Friday, December 4th will be dedicated to PKBGT participants.
SPECTATOR CARTS: The course offers spectator carts at $25 on a first come, first serve basis. Spectator carts must stay on the carts paths at all time.
MEALS PROVIDED: As part of the event, a boxed lunch will be provided for the players at the turn.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Forest Creek Golf Club (Clubhouse Suites & House Rentals)
CLUBHOUSE SUITES: They have 7 Clubhouse Suites that are in their rental pools that are available to rent. Each Suite has a King bed and a Queen sleeper sofa in the unit as well as a refrigerator. The units range between $150 / night ++ to $175 / night ++ depending on the size and the view they offer. Suites that are larger have a pocket door that separates the two sleeping areas and / or have views off the back of the clubhouse overlooking the golf course and pond are the more expensive ones. Daily maid service is provided within the Suites as well.
HOUSE RENTALS: They have a number of homes that can be rented. They range in size and price from 4 BR homes at $500 / night ++ to an 8 BR home at $900 / night ++.

Pine Needles Lodge & Mid Pines Lodge
A PKB group room block has been set-up at Pine Needles Lodge & GC and Mid Pines Inn & GC. Group rates are as follows: (Mid Pines: $99 per night, Pine Needles: $135 per night). CADDIE POLICY: Due to Covid Protocols, Caddies WILL NOT BE PERMITTED at this event.
BELL NATIONAL & PREP PREVIEW: All players will be ranked on the PKBGT Performance Index rankings. Results in Bell & Prep Preview Series are weighted according to course rating and field strength.
BELL NATIONAL: This event is a 3x multiplier for the PKBGT Bell National Series Order of Merit standings
PREP PREVIEW: This event is a 3x multiplier for the PKBGT Prep Preview Series Order of Merit standings
BELL & PREP PREVIEW: Each division champion will earn Class A status and an invitation to the PKBGT Tournament of Champions. Each division runner-up and 3rd place finisher will all earn Class B status and an invitation to the PKBGT Tournament of Champions
BELL: The Top 5 will earn invitations to the 2021 PKBGT Invitational
BELL: All Players that finish the maximum amount of holes played will be ranked on the Golfweek Performance Index (Minimum field size: 12)
BELL & PREP PREVIEW: All multi-day events will be ranked (Minimum field size: 5). Bell & Prep Preview Series will be ranked separately.
BELL NATIONAL: Champion will receive 8 PBE Performance Stars. Runner-up & 3rd place finisher each will receive 4 PBE Performance Stars. 4th & 5th place will receive 1 PBE Performance Star.
PREP PREVIEW: Champion will receive 4 PBE Performance Stars. Top 10% finishers each will receive 1 PBE Performance Star.
BELL: This is a CGA 7 multiplier
PREP PREVIEW: This is a CGA 3.5 multiplier
** CGA multiplier applies to both the Tarheel Youth Golf Association & South Carolina Junior Golf Association State Rankings
PKBGT Local Rules & Conditions of Competition
Play is governed by the 2019 USGA Rules of Golf except as amended by the PKBGT Rules of Play and the following Local Rules shown below. Disregard
local rules printed on the club score card.
DOUBT TO PROCEDURE: Only members of the Rules Committee are authorized to render a Rules Decision. If in doubt as to the correct
procedure, and a member of the Rules Committee is not present, play a second ball under Rule 20.1c (3) and report the facts to the Committee
even if the scores are the same with both balls. The player MUST , before proceeding, announce which ball she intends to use for score.
Failure to do so shall result in the first ball played to be scored or possible disqualification.
NOTICE TO COMPETITORS
COURSE TEES: Players will play the BLACK PKBGT Bell tee markers and the LAVENDER PKBGT Prep tee markers. See PKBGT
scorecard for details.
PLAY READY GOLF: Ready golf means that ALL golfers should go to their balls as soon as possible and get READY to play their shots.
While waiting to hit, players should SURVEY their shot, SELECT their clubs, TAKE them from their bags, and STAND at their balls
READY to step up and make the shot when it is their turn. That’s Ready Golf.
DROP ZONES: Are provided as an additional relief option under Rule 17.1 on hole: 9.

COVID-19 PLAYER PROTOCOLS
MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING : Everyone must continue proper social distancing procedures, maintaining a minimum of six feet
apart at all times. This includes your entire time at host facility: parking lot, putting green, practice area, on the golf course, in the scoring
area, restrooms, clubhouse (if open), and golf shop (if open).
BUNKERS : If tournaments are played without bunker rakes, in all bunkers a player may: Mark the location of the ball, lift the ball, smooth
the area, and place it within club length of the original spot, no closer to the hole. The ball must remain in the bunker. The player MAY
smooth the sand with anything EXCEPT a golfclub. Please smooth the sand with your feet after your shot as you leave the bunker.
FLAGSTICK MUST REMAIN IN THE HOLE : Under the Rules of Golf, players are permitted to leave the flagstick in the hole while
putting. At this time, all players MUST leave the flagstick in the hole. A player removing a flag or playing a stroke to a flagless hole will be
subject to the General Penalty.
HOLING OUT : All players must still hole out. A ball must come to rest in the cup with any part of the ball below the hole.
SUSPENSION OF PLAY : In the event play is suspended, you are directed to evacuate to your car in the parking lot. Updates will be posted
on the tournament page and emailed about resumption of play
Players in Group A, B & C who have automatically earned a spot into the field must register by the commitment deadline to claim their spot. After this date, Group D, then E, the F players will be invited to fill the field. For more information on Player Entrance Criteria, click here.
Should they exist, remaining spots in the field will be filled by the committee from the Application Event Player Pool.
Players will be invited within Group D, then Group E and then Group F. Priority within each group is determined by PKBGT Priority Based Entry standard.
Last day to register for the tournament (based on available spots, event may fill sooner than this date).
Players must withdraw no later than the official closing date to receive a refund. All withdrawals and transfers are subject to a $25 administrative fee.
Following the completion of the field or the registration closing date being reached, the final positions in the Bell National field will be completed based on the PKBGT Priority Based Entry process.

Round 1 tee times will be emailed to all participants and their families.
Please note, participants withdrawing after tee times have been released will not receive a credit. Only in extreme circumstances will a credit be granted, at the discretion of the Tour Director.
Round 1 tee times begin off the 1st & 10th tees, weather permitting.
Round 2 tee times begin off the 1st & 10th tees, weather permitting.
Awards for the top-five finishers in each division will occur after play concludes.
